On the 8th of January we got the main cast together for a read through of the entire script of the Mantecoza reboot and a Q&A session of questions submitted by our fans!
We revealed some fun things and made a big announcement at Phoenix Comic Con this year!
With almost the entire cast and crew on hand we were happy to share some of the visual effects work going on in post production. Including pop up books and air ships and entire matte paintings of castles sharing the scenes with our actors!
But perhaps the biggest announcement of all was that Mantecoza will now be produced as a feature length movie!
Keep an eye open for continuing updates on our progress!!
We’ve been adding some new pages to our website and there will be more being updated in the next few weeks.
If you haven’t already check out our Thank You Page and our Gallery of The Wizard Tower filming.
Stay tuned also for upcoming announcements about events we’ll be attending in the near future!
Lady Chenna Danbeau, Minister of Wizard and Sebastian King, the new Ring Wizard,
along with the Mantecoza Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of Tourism
wish to invite you to visit the beautiful kingdom of Mantecoza.
We’re almost half way through our IndieGogo Fundraising Campaign and still need some help to finish 1st season!
Describe yourself in one word: Frisky
What was your favorite book growing up and why? TV Guide. It was way before cable and those nifty onscreen programming guides. I know it’s not a book but I didn’t develop a love for literature until later in life.
Did you have a hero you emulated? Not really. As a kid my heroes were rock musicians and television/film actors. I wasn’t blessed with the gift of music and I was too shy as a kid to pursue performing. Making up for it now though!
If you had to drink only one drink and nothing else what else would it be? Water! So exciting, isn’t it?!?
If someone who knew nothing about Mantecoza asked you to describe it what would you tell them? Office Space meets Lord of the Rings as a sketch on SNL.
Without revealing any details, but knowing how the story goes, what encouraging word would you give to the Sebastian King of episode 1: Chenna can’t stay this grouchy forever. Right?!?
Do you think you are at all like the character of Sebastian? Hmmm, a software engineer who loves his mother and Lord of the Rings? Yes, we definitely have more than a few things in common.
Do you have a funny story from the set you can share? Technically it wasn’t from the from the set but when we met at Kate’s theatre for the first read through, the floor had just been painted with a high-gloss black finish. Tommy and I immediately kicked off our shoes and tested the friction coefficient at full speed. Didn’t take long before we were doing our own Blades of Glory impression.
You have 10 seconds left to say anything – what would it be? Thank you for supporting Mantecoza!!!
It’s been awhile since we said anything and that’s because we’ve been insanely busy!
Now that we have a moment to breathe it’s time to get insanely busy here on our blog and website.
Stay tuned for some updates and a parade of posts in the coming days!
